Barceló, C. Atlantis, EDIMAT BOOKS, Ltd London

I found this book in the library and thought it would be very interesting and would very much help me in my assignment and it did. This book is written on Atlantis, the many theories of it and the different conclusions that many scientists went to regarding its existence. In the book there are diagrams and maps of where people may have thought Atlantis was located at. There are a variety of historians that Carlos Barceló refers to in order to present his arguments. It is a very significant book which assisted me in finding information about the Lost City.

Although some may say that Wikipedia is not a helpful website, I think it is. I got much of my information from Wikipedia and it ranged from many different sources and information that I used for my assignment. In the website, there are conclusions of philosophers and historians as to the existence of Atlantis. There are helpful quote and a few images that I gained much information from and even used to quote in my assignment. There were also many different points of views about scientists and not just one side or the argument but many. The website is important in helping my essay on Atlantis.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire, 2001, DVD, Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise

Atlantis the Movie was also very useful. Because it was a modern day film of Atlantis, it gave me an insight on what people thought Atlantis was today and how it was portrayed. This gave me a clear indication as to what people nowadays think and if Atlantis was only a myth and a story told to children. From watching the movie Atlantis, I gained much information on the stories of Atlantis and how it was portrayed and the conclusions that the modern day society has come to about the Lost City.
